Description

Deletion within Nup58, just downstream of the start codon (the nucleotide sequence is CCTAAAGATGTTTACGCCCA-deletion-TGGATTGACAACCCTCCGCTG where the first ATG corresponds to the Nup58 start codon). The sequence is out of frame for almost the complete Nup58 coding sequence.

Comment:

A 1549bp deletion in Nup58 that extends from just downstream of the start codon to codon 501, removing most of the coding region. There is a "T" at the site of the deletion as well as a couple of base changes. The sequence in the mutant is CCTAAAGATGTTTACGCCCA-deletion-tGGATTGACAAcCCTCCGCTGCCGtCGGTGG where the lower case bases are not in the reference sequence.
