The UAS-MTDS transgene described in Yeh et al., 2024, EMBO Mol. Med. 16(5): 1091--1114 (PMID:38589651, FBrf0259513) encodes the two components of the light-inducible microtubule disassembly system (MTDS) described in Liu et al., 2022, EMBO J. 41(15):e100472 (PMID:35686621).
20xUAS sequences drive expression of both EMTB-mCherry-CIBN and dNSpastin3Q-CRY2, separated by a P2A sequence and codon optimized for Drosophila.
