l(3)95Eb1117 (FBal0150368) and l(3)95Eb3627 (FBal0150367) are alleles identified in a screen for lethals over Df(3R)crb87-4 (Bienz, 2003, FBrf0161611). Non-complementation with Df(3R)w6 and complementation with Df(3R)w5 placed l(3)95Eb between CG13605 and CG13606. The Bloomington Drosophila Stock Center has narrowed the region further by showing both alleles complement Df(3R)ED10893 (RRID:BDSC_28827) and fail to complement Df(3R)Exel6197 (from RRID:BDSC_7676). This places l(3)95Eb between  3R:24 ,109,944 and  3R:24 ,141,369 in a region containing the following genes: CG10694, CG18428, CG13605,  tRNA:Leu-TAA-2-1 , Root, CG13607, GatB, Tsc1, Sec10, Npc2f, and Kal1.  Whole genome sequencing reveals the following candidate mutations in the GatB gene (no other likely candidates were found in the region):

l(3)95Eb3627 - GatB-PA, E298K (GAG->AAG)
