Statement
Reference

Immediately after eclosion, staining occurs over the entire third antennal segment and becomes more restricted with age. In mature antennae, staining is in the dorso-medial portion of the third antennal segment, probably in the sensilla basiconica, and in the sacculus. Staining is also observed in the labellum, the CNS, and in reproductive tissue.
