Insertion lines from this collection were assessed for inclusion in the Gene Disruption Project collection.
In embryo, segmentally repeated expression may be in epidermis.
In wandering third instar larva, strong expression in imaginal discs (which discs not specified).
In late stage embryo, high levels of β-gal staining in the CNS; much fainter staining in the PNS.

Insertion separable from lethal originally isolated on the same chromosome.
This insertion was listed in the BDGP database as a lethal or sterile line during the period 1994-1999, but was not verified as such prior to the summary publication (FBrf0111489). Reasons for excluding lines from the collection described in FBrf0111489 include presence of more than one P insertion on the mutant chromosome, separation of lethality (or sterility) from the location of the insertion, and loss of lethality (or sterility) from the stock.
