Insertion lines from this collection were assessed for inclusion in the Gene Disruption Project collection.
Comment: notum
In the wing pouch, EcollacZvn-rF264 is expressed as a broad discontinuous stripe straddling the A/P boundary in the L3 and L4 intervein region and also in the hinge and the notum, in a pattern similar to that of vn transcript. In contrast to vn transcript expression, EcollacZvn-rF264 is expressed in the presumptive hinge and notum of the haltere disc.

This insertion was listed in the BDGP database as a lethal or sterile line during the period 1994-1999, but was not verified as such prior to the summary publication (FBrf0111489). Reasons for excluding lines from the collection described in FBrf0111489 include presence of more than one P insertion on the mutant chromosome, separation of lethality (or sterility) from the location of the insertion, and loss of lethality (or sterility) from the stock.
