eqFP670 is a near-infrared fluorescent protein with an excitation peak of 605nm and an emission peak of 670nm in vitro. It is an artificial derivative of the naturally occurring fluorescent protein encoded by the Entacmaea quadricolor eqFP578 gene. It was obtained by mutagenesis of the Katushka-9-5 variant, containing the mutations M14T, N24G, M44C, S148N and S165N relative to this variant. eqFP670 shows high photostability (PMID:20818379).
