Grx1-roGFP2 is a genetically encoded fluorescent sensor that allows dynamic live imaging of the glutathione redox potential. It is a fusion protein composed of the Homo sapiens GLRX (glutaredoxin) gene (HGNC:4330, also known as 'Grx1') to the N-terminus of roGFP2 (a redox-sensitive form of GFP which is insensitive to pH changes in the physiological range) (PMID:18469822). For detailed kinetic and spectral properties, see PMID:18469822.
