ElectricPk is a genetically encoded fluorescent voltage indicator that is capable of resolving action potentials. It consists of the voltage-sensing domain from the Ciona intestinalis VSP gene (GB:AB183035), that has been mutated to carry a R217Q mutation, fused via a 5 residue peptide linker to circularly permuted EGFP (PMID:22970127).
