MacQ-mCitrine is a genetically encoded fluorescent voltage indicator. It consists of the rhodopsin encoded y the Leptosphaeria maculans ops gene (GB:AF290180) containing a D139Q mutation, fused via a SG linker to Citrine. Citrine acts as a FRET donor and the 'Mac' rhodopsin acts as both a voltage-sensitive domain and a FRET acceptor (PMID:24755708).
