Tag:MP(AV) corresponds to amino acids 315-478 of CaMKIIα (this contains the association domain, plus a short variable region). Tag:MP(AV) self-assembles into large oligomers (PMID:9422351). When fused to a protein of interest, this property can be exploited to study the function and/or manipulate the activity of the tagged protein.
