TEVp(S219V) is an engineered variant of the TEVp protease that has been mutated to carry a S219V amino acid substitution. TEVp(S219V) is approximately 100-fold more stable than TEVp (the mutation inhibits autoinhibition by self-cleavage) and its catalytic activity is approximately 2-fold higher (PMID:11809930).
