The T6B peptide corresponds to residues 599-683 of isoform 2 of the Homo sapiens TNRC6B gene (HGNC:29190). This peptide binds to Argonaute (Ago) proteins with high efficiency, competing with endogenous TNRC6 proteins for binding (PMID:26351695). This property can be utilized to isolate Ago protein complexes and to identify associated proteins, small RNAs or target mRNAs, including active miRNAs associated with Ago proteins involved in the miRNA pathway (adapted from PMID:26351695, PMID:40299997). T6B can also be used to inhibit miRNA-mediated gene silencing (PMID:26351695, PMID:34463618).
