Description

P{ftz5'Δ239} carries a ftz promoter fragment extending from -239bp relative to the transcriptional start site to the second ftz codon fused to sequence encoding a lacZ reporter (FBrf0049819). Insertions of this construct can act as enhancer traps, showing specific position-dependent expression patterns in addition to the basal expression pattern that is driven by the ftz promoter fragment.
