Description

An Hsp70 promoter drives expression of a constitutively active form of the Mmus\Prkaca protein kinase A (PKA) catalytic subunit. The coding sequence contains amino acid substitutions H87Q and W196R; this results in a protein that does not bind the regulatory subunit with high affinity and hence is constitutively active, irrespective of cAMP concentration.
