Description

The P{Mae-GMR.EP} element contains GMR regulatory sequences and an Hsp70 TATA box at its 3' end, oriented so that transcription from the Hsp70 promoter is directed outwards from this end of the element. This can result in misexpression (in the eye) of neighbouring genomic loci when the element is inserted in the genome.
