In embryonic, larval and adult stages, expressed in all muscles analyzed; level of expression approximately half that produced by larger 'whole intron' fragment.(All larval muscles assayed for β-gal activity except the muscles surrounding the dorsal vessel and the spiracle muscles; larger 'whole intron' fragment fails to drive expression in the muscles of the dorsal vessel.)
