Description

600bp region, including the ventral repression element, of the distal zen promoter, from position -1.6kb to -1kb upstream of the zen transcription start site, is fused to 2.5kb NsiI SalI fragment of the Kr promoter which in turn fused to a minimal Hsp70 promoter that drives lacZ expression.
