lacZ gene expression is driven by 700bp rho promoter fragment with two synthetic sna binding sites, both at proximal end of 700bp fragment with respect to start of lacZ transcription. Most proximal sna binding site is positioned 50bp from start of lacZ transcription and most proximal sna binding site is positioned 215bp from nearest dl binding site.
