Reference

A EcollacZ reporterconstruct driven by a 844 bp Hsrω promoter is expressed in imaginaldiscs, in the brain hemispheres, ventral ganglia, and prothoracic glands ofthird instar larvae. Expression is detected in nurse cells during oogenesis, andin the testis during mid-to-late spermatogenesis. Unlike wild-type Hsrωtranscript, reporter construct expression is also detected in seminal vesiclesand oocytes. Expression is also detected in the wing blade and the optic lobesof adult flies.
