Description

Transgenic construct used to study promoter competition and promoter-enhancer interactions. Encodes two divergently transcribed reporters; lacZ driven by a chimeric promoter fragment consisting of w promoter sequences from -36bp to +2bp, and eve sequences from +3bp to + 166bp, and Tn9CAT driven by an eve promoter. The Abd-B IAB5 enhancer has been inserted downstream of the lacZ reporter. The 300bp rho NEE enhancer has been inserted in between the two divergent promoters.
