Transgenic construct used to analyze the insulating activities of human matrix attachment regions (MARs) in a position effect assay. Derived from P{mwS'}; a 4.1kb XhoI-SalI fragment containing the Hsap\SERPINA1 matrix attachment region (MAR) has been inserted upstream of the w transcription unit.
