Description

Transgenic construct used to study the properties of a subtelomeric satellite DNA sequence. Contains a w+* minigene, flanked on both sides by gypsy insulator sequence. 1.4kb of 2L telomere satDNA in centromere-proximal direction has been inserted into the w+* minigene, in between the w enhancer and the w promoter.
