Description

A fragment containing the intergenic region between Pig1 and Sgs4 is inserted between two divergently transcribed coding sequences (Adh and the lacZ reporter). The fragment extends from +8 relative to the Pig1 transcription start site to +55 relative to the Sgs4 transcription start site. The sequence between -511 and -507 is TTTTT (the wild type sequence). The orientation of the fragment is such that the Pig1 promoter is proximal to Adh while the Sgs4 promoter is proximal to lacZ.
