Description and Uses
Description

Transgenic construct used to study insulator function. Contains divergently transcribed w and lacZ reporters. A 228bp SpeI-BamHI fragment of the h stripe one enhancer (H1) has been inserted between the two reporters. A 9.5kb fragment containing the transvection mediating region from downstream of Abd-B (which includes the internal lncRNA:iab8 promoter) has been inserted downstream of the lacZ transcription unit.
