Description

Transgenic construct used to examine the properties of the Mcp element from the bithorax complex. Contains the approximately 0.8kb XbaI-SalI fragment that spans the major nuclease-hypersensitive region of the Mcp element, w enhancer sequence, the y body colour enhancer element and an intronless y minigene, in which 1868 nucleotides remain upstream of the transcription start site.
