Description

Transgenic construct used to study mechanisms involved in long-range enhancer-promoter interactions. Contains a 0.9kb fragment containing the Abd-Bm promoter, upstream of the lacZ reporter. A 360bp BamHI-BglII fragment containing gypsy insulator sequence, an FRT cassette that contains a 625bp minimal Abd-B promoter targeting sequence (PTS), and a 480bp ftz autoregulatory enhancer (AE1) have been inserted over 5kb downstream of the lacZ transcription unit.
