Description

Six copies of a 322bp fragment from upstream of the transcription start site of the eya type I transcript (this corresponds to the region deleted in the eya2 mutation) are fused upstream of a minimal promoter driving lacZ expression. The eya elements are in the reverse orientation to that seen in the eya gene.
