Description

Transgenic construct used to study the requirements for amplification of the third chromosome chorion gene cluster. Contains (5' to 3'): a gypsy insulator - the ACE3 amplification control element from the chorion gene cluster - a gypsy insulator that is flanked on each side by FRT sites, with chorion gene coding region 'stuffer' sequences flanking each side of the two FRT sites - the Ori-β origin of replication from the chorion gene cluster - the y+mDint2 marker - a gypsy insulator.
