Description

Transgenic construct used in a study to characterize a pairing-sensitive element from the en gene. en sequence from -2407bp to -10bp relative to the en transcription start site is inserted upstream of the w+mC marker, in the opposite orientation to the w direction of transcription. The lacZ gene has been inserted as a spacer in between the w promoter and en sequence.
