Description

Construct: An Hsp70 promoter is fused upstream of an incomplete P-element, "KP", which is a 1.15kb element known to encode a repressor polypeptide of 207 amino acids. The "KP" element has a deletion from nucleotide 803 to 2564 and nucleotide 2866A is also deleted (coordinates relative to the canonical P-element described in FBrf0038996). The intact P-element promoter is present in this fragment.
