Description

Transgenic construct used in an enhancer-blocking assay. Contains the w transcription unit plus an upstream w enhancer. A 1.2kb fragment which is a repeated element in the D. melanogaster genome, and which contains the BE28 boundary element, is inserted in between the w enhancer and promoter.
