Description

Transgenic construct used to study the gypsy insulator. Contains the entire y gene, including the wing and body enhancers. A gypsy\su(Hw)BR insulator sequence has been inserted between the y enhancers and the y coding region. The y sequence is followed by 1. a loxP cassette containing a gypsy\su(Hw)BR insulator sequence, and 2. the w+mC minigene.
