A Tg enhancer fragment (+12231 to +13046) from the large intron (primers used to generate the construct: forward primer 5'-GCATATTGCTGCAATTGG, reverse primer 5'-TAAGTATTTTCGGCAGGG) is fused upstream of a minimal promoter driving expression of a lacZ reporter.

Reference

Reporter expression is observed in 5 sets of ostia cells, spanning from the posterior of the thorax to abdominal segment 5.

Reporter expression is observed in the pharynx and "Svp" cells at stage 15 and in the cardiac outflow region by stage 16. It is also observed in the cardial cells of the dorsal vessel. Expression was strong in the cardial cells expressing svp but not in those expressing tin.
