Description and Uses
Description

P{PyR} is an enhancer trap construct that encodes a nuclear-targeted DsRed1 fluorescent protein. The enhancer trap sequence is at the 5' end of the construct and consists of the P\T promoter sequence followed by a translational fusion of the N-terminal 129 amino acids of P\T (this includes the N-terminal Tag:NLS(P) nuclear localization signal), a 9 amino acid linker sequence and DsRed1. An FRT cassette containing the y+t* marker is present downstream of the DsRed1 coding sequence.
