Both UASt and ms(3)K81 upstream regulatory sequences are fused upstream of a chimeric fusion protein composed of the N-terminal one third of ms(3)K81 fused to the middle third of HipHop and the C-terminal one third of ms(3)K81. The coding sequence is tagged at the N-terminal end with EGFP.
