A 703bp fragment from the Dcp-1 genome encompassing its promoter and 5'UTR is cloned upstream of a 1090bp fragment of Dcp-1 3'UTR. The Dcp-1 coding sequence, amplified from a cDNA clone, is inserted in between these two fragments.
