P{(loxP.GAL4.y+)LHG} represents a transgenic construct generated in vivo, using the attP site in P{MARET-G4} as a target site. P{(loxP.GAL4.y+)LHG} contains two enhancer trap cassettes; the first corresponds to the GAL4 driver enhancer trap sequence present in the original P{MARET-G4} element; the second encodes the 'LHG' lexA::GAD driver (composed of Ecol\lexA, providing DNA binding specificity, fused with the hinge region and the transcriptional activator domain of Scer\GAL4). A y+t* marker is present between the two enhancer trap cassettes. A single loxP-S site is present upstream of the GAL4 sequence and a single loxP site is present upstream of the lexA::GAD sequence.
