Act5C promoter sequences are separated from the 'LHV[[2]]' lexA::VP16 driver by a FRT-y+ cassette. 'LHV[[2]]' is composed of Ecol\lexA (providing DNA binding specificity), the hinge region of Scer\GAL4 and 2 copies of the minimal VP16 activation domain.
