The FRT-y+ cassette has been excised, allowing Act5C promoter sequences to drive expression of the 'LHV[[2]]' lexA::VP16 driver, which is composed of Ecol\lexA (providing DNA binding specificity), the hinge region of Scer\GAL4 and 2 copies of the minimal VP16 activation domain.
