Contains a y-based reporter designed to test enhancer-blocking by an insulator element. The structure of the reporter is as follows: an Scer\FRT cassette containing an insulator protein binding site ("D4", coordinates 3R:12934220..12935236 of the "Dm3 2006 genome release") separates the y wing and body enhancers from the y transcription unit (which contains the downstream bristle enhancer). The reporter is flanked by 5' and 3' P-element ends, which are themselves flanked by 5' and 3' Dmau\mariner ends.
