In the larvae, ScerGAL4^Octβ2R.cLa is expressed in almost the entire somatic muscle system and, weakly, in the larval nercous system, including segmentally organized neurons in the abdominal neuromeres. In the adult, expression is seen in skeletal muscles, including in the legs, proboscis, the 3rd antennal segment and the salivary glands, strong expression was seen in the oviduct, spermathecum and seminal receptacle, expression was also seen in the male acessory gland, the mushroom bodies, two large clusters of ramifications in the protocerebrum and the pars intercerebralis, as well as a few cells in the thoracico-abdominal ganglion.
