Description

The pgc promoter and 5'UTR (2777bp of genomic sequence from upstream of the pgc translation start site) are fused upstream of the EGFP coding sequence, followed by the αTub84B 3'UTR. A sequence from the pgc 3'UTR, AUAUUUGUAAAUUA, has been inserted into the αTub84B 3' UTR sequence after nucleotide 28 of the 3'UTR sequence (this is the same location as where the motif is found in the native pgc 3'UTR). The AUAUUUGUAAAUUA sequence contains a nos protein binding sequence (AUA), and also contains sequence (UUUGUAAAUU) that closely matches the pum response element (PRE).
