Description

Transgenic construct used to study insulator pairing. Contains a reporter that consists of the eve basal promoter (-275 to +106bp relative to the eve transcription start site), the lacZ coding region and the eve 3'UTR (+1300 to +1525bp). The 'Homie' sequence (an insulator that is normally located downstream of the endogenous eve locus) is also present, upstream of the reporter sequence.
