Description

Transgenic construct used to visualize the role of boundary elements in enhancer-promoter communication. Contains a reporter gene that is composed of the Drosophila synthetic core promoter (DSCP), a 5'UTR into which 24 copies of the Tag:MS2 stem loop have been inserted and the y transcription unit (including intron). The sna shadow enhancer is present downstream of the reporter gene (enhancer-promoter distance is 9kb).
