Description

UASt regulates expression of a Tag:FLAG-tagged Hsap\TARDBP coding sequence with the mutations F147/149L and F229/231L, respectively in the RNA-recognition motifs RRM1 and RRM2, so that the protein is biologically inactive. This is linked to 12 repetitions of an aggregation-prone region of Hsap\TARDBP, rich in asparagine and glutamine residues (c.331-369), termed 12XQ/N.
