Description

gypsy element in which the 5'UTR has been replaced by UASt regulatory sequences (such that the start of transcription matches the start for the gypsy LTR) and a unique sequence tag has been inserted into the 3'UTR. An inframe deletion has been introduced into the gypsy polyprotein coding sequence, removing most of the reverse transcriptase (gypsy\pol) sequence.
