A genomic fragment containing Rad23 (including its endogenous promoter) is fused upstream of 8 identical copies of the 360bp third 1.688 satellite from the seven repeats that are found downstream of CG1840, such that the 3' end of Rad23 is proximal to the 1.688 satellite repeat.
