Akh promoter sequence from -1020 to +17 relative to the transcription start site drive expression of a bicistronic transcript that encodes two open reading frames separated by a 2A self-cleaving peptide (to ensure separate translation of each protein). The first ORF encodes jGCaMP7s. The second ORF encodes mRuby3.
