Description

The ubiquitous OpIE2 promoter (derived from the baculovirus Orgyia pseudotsugata multicapsid nuclear polyhedrosis virus) drives expression of Salo\pac. The transcription unit includes the male-specific intron and splice sites from dsx so that Salo\pac protein (which confers resistance to puromycin) is only expressed in males.
